BLM Results of this class will be used to qualify horse/rider combination for the 2004 finals of the Colonel Bengt Ljungquist Memorial Championships. Riders must be members of a participating organization at the time of the show to be eligible. It is also required for Members that have declared a discipline other than Dressage or Eventing. ENTRY INFORMATION 1. Make checks payable to Equine Management and Marketing Associates, LLC ( hereafter known as EMMA, LLC) and mail with a completed Region 1 entry form with original signatures, a negative Coggins report (dated no earlier than April14, 2005), and copies of all USEF and USDF Memberships cards for Rider, Owner, Trainer and Coach to the secretary. 2. Please state on entry form if riding Jr/YR, Adult Amateur, Open, or GAIG/USDF Qualifying. 3. DO NOT SEND ENTRIES REGISTERED OR SIGNATURE REQUIRED. All entries must be received by closing date. Any entry RECEIVED after the closing date is a post entry and may be accepted at the discretion of the secretary. If accepted, the entry is subject to the $35.00 post-entry fee. 4. Non-Negotiable (bounced) checks will void the entry and incur a $35.00 charge plus bank fees. The entry will be placed on a waiting list until a money order, certified check or cash is received. 5. Refunds less a $15.00 office fee prior to closing date. No refund of entry fees after closing date for any reason, including Acts of God, Severe Weather, and Acts of Terrorism. 6. Management reserves the right to split, cancel, or combine classes. Management also reserves the right to add or substitute judges or make any changes required by circumstances. In the event of an over-subscription, a waiting list will be established. Entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis in accordance with Article 1502.9a of the USEF rules. 7. Trophy and six ribbons will be awarded in each class. The trophy will only be awarded in classes with 3 or more entrants. Champion and Reserve Ribbons awarded for the high score in each division each day. Competitors should check the secretary’s office to sign up for special sponsored awards that may be offered. 8. GAIG Qualifying classes need to have copies of USEF and USDF membership cards for both rider and owner, and copies of USEF Lifetime or Annual Horse Recording and USDF full lifetime registration must be included with the entry. 9. USDF/Dover Adult Amateur Medal will be awarded to the highest scoring Adult Amateur in the Second Level Test 2 class on Saturday. 10. Times and Acknowledgement can be obtained by calling the show secretary 3 days before the show, or by accessing the EMMA website at www.equinemma.com . Confirmation mailers will be mailed out in acknowledgement of entry received. 11. Contact show manager for off-site local stabling information. 12. Arenas: All classes will be held in 20 x 60 outdoor or slightly modified indoor arena with sand/rubber footing. Warm-up in indoor arena with sand footing. Lunging is only permitted on grass areas to be designated by management.13. Food will be available on the show grounds from start of show through 3PM. 14. USEF rules go into effect upon arrival at the show grounds. Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF Rule Book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. 15. Horses traveling into New Jersey must carry a Certificate of Good Health dated within 30 days of the competition. 16. All dogs must be leashed. 17. It is recommended that all participants wear approved protective headgear while mounted. 18. A veterinarian and a farrier will be on call (or on site) during show hours. All emergency numbers will be posted in the Secretary’s office, in the show program, and on the show grounds. 19. Bridle numbers must be worn at all times when a horse is out of the trailer. 20. All medical waste (needles, syringes, etc.) must NOT be discarded in manure pits, garbage cans, or on the grounds. All medical supplies must be placed in appropriate containers available on the grounds. 21. Handicapped Facilities will be available. 22. No one may operate a motorized vehicle, including golf carts and scooters without a valid driver’s license. HOLD HARMLESS CLAUSE: Understanding that horse sports may be hazardous and dangerous, possibly leading to permanent injury or death, each owner, rider, spectator, and other participant assumes any or all risk, loss or injury and agrees to hold harmless, regardless of negligent acts or omissions by EMMA, LLC., Centenary College Equestrian Center, the show management, show committee, and all horse show personnel. Directions: From the East: Route 80 West to Exit 26 for Hackettstown (that is 46 west). Take a left onto Naughright at the 6th traffic light (next to A&P). Follow Naughright for approx. 3 miles to a right on Flocktown Road (after a sharp curve to the left). Go to the end and take a left onto Schooley’s Mountain Road. Go 100 yards and turn right onto Pleasant Grove Road. Follow for approx. 3 miles then turn left onto Califon Road. The Equestrian Center is about 1 mile on the left side. From the North: 287 South to 80 West. Follow directions above from the East. From the South and PA: 78 East to the Exit for Oldwick (either Rt. 517 or Rt. 523). Turn left at bottom of ramp towards Oldwick. Stay on this road all the way into Long Valley (approx. 10 miles). At the light in Long Valley (after the Brew Pub) go straight, over bridge, and up mountain. Go through the light and past the Fire house on your left. After the firehouse on the left, turn left onto Pleasant Grove Road. Follow for approx. 3 miles then turn onto Califon Road. The Equestrian Center is about 1 mile on the left side. From the North East and PA: Route 80 East to Exit 19. At the end of the ramp turn left onto 517. Follow Rt 517 into Hackettstown. At the light, turn left onto Main Street. Follow through town and stay right at the Hess Station towards Rt 57. After passing the mall on your left, continue straight at the last light, go over the bridge, and continue straight up the mountain. After you pass the general store on your left, turn right onto Pleasant Grove Road. Follow for approx. 3 miles then turn left onto Califon Road.
